I want to bypass the activation but still want to use the iPhone as a phone. I want to bypass the activation so I can download the new software from itunes and then unlock and jailbreak the phone. If I use this program will I still be able to use the phone portion of the iPhone

I am a mac user, I tried iActivator more than 10 times to try to use my new iPhone without AT&T, but in the section "Activate iPhone" always fails and I can not continue with the last part "Return to Jail" to finish the process successful. In "Generate Activation" you create a plist file, when you go to "Activate iPhone" you look for that "plist file" but when you select it, Failure, says "Activation failed with code -402653165".
Can somebody help me with this?
