Dead pixels are an annoying but sometimes common occurance on lcd monitors. Before you panic and take it into a shop to have them look at it (they are going to do this method first anyway), try these steps and save yourself the hassel.
1. Apply light pressure on the pixele with the tip of your finger. The majority of the time this will correct the dead pixel with no further steps needed.
2. If applying pressure doesnt work, turn off your computer, and then restart it. While the computer is booting up, gently apply pressure to the dead/stuck pixel with your finger, a pencil eraser, or a soft cloth. Once the computer has had time to boot all the way up release the pressure and check the pixel. If this doesn’t correct the issue, theres one last trick you can try.
3. Download this quicktime video, and set the play back to continuously loop.  Place the video where the dead pixel is and let it play. Dont stare at it or you may have a seizure. While the video is playing gently massage the dead pixel and it should shock it back into working properly.
If none of the above steps work its pretty safe to say that the pixel is dead and you will have to either deal with it, or take it into have someone take a look at it if its really bothering you.
