I posted last week about an applescript to convert video for AppleTV which may be a bit advanced for some people. Well only a few days have passed an application has been released to make the conversion for you.

ViddyUp is a simple app that is just as easy to use as the applescript would be once you have it set up, but skips the whole process of having to install the script and make the changes necessary to make it work. By just dragging and dropping your video files onto the ViddyUp window and selecting the output format you want you can easily convert all of your vid files and import them into iTunes so that you can sync with the video iPod or Apple TV.

The nice part about ViddyUp, unlike the applescript, Quicktime Pro is not required to do the conversions. This, combined with the other features like batch processing and h.264 support, ViddyUp certainly is the easiest, quickest, and most efficient way to get those movies transferred over to your Apple TV
