If your like me, then you have about 4500 different accounts across the web for various things from blog admin, email, screennames, and whatever else you decide to sign up for on the internet. If your even more like me then you have more than one typical password that you will use for these log ons. I can’t keep up with all the differnet login name and password variations so I was on the hunt for a password manager. Pastor is the one I came across first and decided to try it out, and for me it works perfectly. Its small, quick and does what its suppose to. You can enter an unlimited number of usernames and passwords for storing, and you dont have to worry about it being found by anyone because the file itself is password protected. This means that you do have to remember at least one password in order to be able to get into the file and view your saved info, so pick a good one that you will remember.

I’ve decided for obvious reasons to not use a screenshot of my Pastor file, not only would you know my secrets, but the image would probably be photoshopped and theres no telling what type of accounts they would make it look like I have (I’m looking at you Brent and Evan). As you add accounts to the file, they are stored on the left and when highlighted, the data on the right will change accordingly. You are able to store the URL of the site, your Login and Password, as well as any notes you might want to put, though I’m not sure what kind of notes would be neccessary here. The file itself is RC-4 encrypted, and includes a built in password generator if you dont feel like coming up with your own secure password. If you’ve ever forgotten your login or password you know how annoying it can be to try and answer the “secret question” or deal with having it reset, so go check out Pastor so you dont have to worry about it every again.
