ByteController | Keyboard Shortcuts for iTunes

bytecontroller itunes keyboard shortcuts

I don’t know about you, but I have a pretty large collection of music in my iTunes library. Some of it I love, some of it I have no idea why I even have. I like to keep it on random and just let the iTunes music gods decide what will play next, but usually it will play something I’m not in the mood to hear, or I get tired of hearing it halfway through. Personally I hate having iTunes open just becasue its so big and takes up a lot of room and its a pain to switch over to it to skip the current song thats playing or to pause or start music.

ByteController is a great application that I couldn’t do without. It doesn’t take up any room on your screen except in the menu bar where it will place back, forward, and play/pause buttons. But you dont even have to use those if you dont want to. My favorite part about bytecontroller is that it will map keyboard short cuts to itunes so that you can controller it without ever having to open it or use the mouse.

ByteController has easy to remember key commands to skip forward or backwards on the song playing, or pause/play the current track. It’s a pretty simple idea but it is a convienience that you wont want to live without if you listen to music regularly on your computer throughout the day.

Download ByteController to control iTunes with keyboard shortcuts.
