Laguna Beach…Continued

Posted by Scott | May 14, 2006 .

Lauren - Laguna BeachI was watching TV the other day and for some reason had it on MTV, which by the way is a worthless channel unless watching either The Real World, or one of the various challenges they have with the “mtv reality tv celebrities”. As I was watching, a commercial came on with some familiar faces of the girls of Laguna Beach. I have to say I did watch a few of the episodes of Laguna Beach, but only because it was some of the most rediculous drama I’ve ever seen, and deep inside wished these people had to get real jobs and have real worries in their life other than who’s making out with who while wearing a certain kind of dress at the high school prom.

But there are others that I know of, mainly Steve the pilot, that love this show more than any grown man should ever care to admit. I must say he hide his emotions well as the girls and boys of Laguna Beach walked across the stage at the their High School graduation, bringing the season and series to a sad end. But guess what Steve, the kids are back and in a new show called The Hills. Well one of the kids at least. The Hills is a show that will follow the life of Lauren in the big city of L.A. California as she attends classes at the Institute of Design and Merchandising as well as her landing her dream internship working at Teen Vogue.

MTV asks the question “Can she prove herself in the fast-paced publishing world, handle the pressures of school, and adjust to the social whirlwind that is Los Angeles, or will she once again pack it in for Laguna Beach”? Either way, I know Steve will happy being able to see his old buddies again in LA or if she moves back to Laguna Beach he can follow the high school drama again.

I know what to say, “I’m so pumped, I like just, like, almost peed in my, ah like, StarBucks mocha.”

I can’t wait for the Hill to start, but I have the complete first season on DVD to hold me over.
